Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pair2mock ("pair2mock," "we," "us," or "our") websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), currently offered as a limited pilot in Nigeria. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The Service is currently offered as a limited pilot for users in Nigeria. You must be able to form a binding contract under the laws of Nigeria (or your place of residence, if different) to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of registration information and for keeping your credentials secure.

You may register with an email and password or, where available, through supported social sign-in providers. You agree not to share your account or use another person's account without permission. Notify us promptly at support@pair2mock.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

pair2mock provides AI-assisted preparation for assessments, interviews, and exams. Depending on your access, features may include untimed practice, timed mock exams, AI-guided interview practice, session reviews, live peer interviews (real-time audio and video), and tools for contributors to add or import questions.

We may add, change, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that content will match any particular real-world exam, employer, or licensing body.

You may submit or upload content such as questions, answers, profile details, or session responses ("User Content"). You retain ownership of User Content you submit, subject to the license below.

You grant pair2mock a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and use User Content as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service (including scoring, feedback, matching peers, and moderation). You represent that you have the rights to submit User Content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to cheat on real exams, misrepresent qualifications, or violate exam or employer rules.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others, including during live peer sessions.
• Upload malware, scrape or overload systems, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Reverse engineer or circumvent security or usage limits except where law permits.
• Use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access. We may remove User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or poses risk to users or the Service.

Some features may be offered for free; others may require payment or a subscription if and when we make them available. If paid offerings are introduced, we will describe pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation terms at the point of purchase. Taxes may apply where required by law.

Unless stated otherwise at purchase, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

The Service, including software, design, branding, and curated question banks we provide, is owned by pair2mock or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service as intended.

Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation to improve the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAIR2MOCK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

pair2mock is a preparation tool. We do not guarantee interview offers, exam scores, licensure, certification, or employment outcomes. AI-generated feedback and peer interactions may be incomplete or inaccurate; you are responsible for how you use them.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAIR2MOCK AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

You will indemnify and hold pair2mock harmless from claims arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from Settings in the app, which initiates removal of your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply. Subject to those mandatory laws, courts in Nigeria will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
